While the blue version is ideally suited for use with barbecues or applications such as operating patio heaters, the green model offers additional areas of application. <\/span>What do you need a gas cylinder level indicator for?<\/span><\/h2>\n

Many users are familiar with the problem: the gas cylinder suddenly runs empty \u2013 in the middle of cooking, while heating in the motorhome or caravan, or during a barbecue with friends. Especially in applications where no gas supply indicator is available, the level often remains a mystery. This is where digital level indicators like the Senso4s BASIC and the Senso4s PLUS come into play.<\/p>\n

They reliably measure the contents of the gas cylinder and transmit the data via Bluetooth to an app on a smartphone or tablet. <\/span>Senso4s BASIC (blue): Functions, Benefits and Fields of Application<\/span><\/h2>\n

The Senso4s BASIC is a digital level indicator for gas cylinders that measures the weight of the cylinder and transmits the data via Bluetooth 4.0 to a free app for Android and iOS. It is particularly suitable for stationary use \u2013 for example when barbecuing, heating, or on the campsite when the gas cylinder is removed from the gas cylinder compartment. The blue version of the Senso4s is not suitable for use in vehicles.<\/p>\n

Installation is extremely simple: the magnetic, extendable support feet adapt to cylinder diameters from 18 to 32 cm. The device is designed for all standard gas cylinders with a filling weight of e.g. 5, 8, 11 and 16 kg. Important: for an accurate measurement result, the gas cylinder must be placed on a horizontal and level surface.<\/p>\n

The power supply is provided by three AAA batteries. The app offers a consumption forecast, a history, and automatic notifications when the level falls below a definable threshold. Multiple devices can also be managed easily via the app.<\/p>\n

The Senso4s BASIC has protection class IP44 and is therefore protected against splashing water from all directions as well as the ingress of solid foreign objects \u2265 1 mm \u2013 an important aspect for outdoor use.<\/p>\n

The Senso4s PLUS is also IP44-certified, allowing it to be used under typical outdoor conditions without an additional housing.<\/p>\n

The Senso4s PLUS expands on all the functions of the BASIC model by adding extra safety and comfort features. Like the base model, it is positioned underneath the gas cylinder, measures the weight using sensors, and transmits the data via Bluetooth 4.0 to the same app.<\/p>\n

In addition, the green version of the Senso4s has three special sensors and is ideally suited for use in vehicles such as motorhomes or caravans.<\/p>\n

  • Motion sensor: During travel in a motorhome or caravan, measurement values could be distorted. A motion sensor detects movement and pauses the measurement until the vehicle is stationary again.<\/li>\n
  • Tilt sensor: Parking on a slope, for example, would also lead to incorrect readings. The corresponding sensor detects excessive tilt and stops the measurement.<\/li>\n
  • Temperature sensor: It can sometimes become especially hot or cold in the gas cylinder compartment. In extreme temperatures, the sensor halts the measuring activity and protects the device.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The PLUS model is also powered by three AAA batteries. The operation of the support feet works the same as in the BASIC model. In addition to the level, the app also displays long-term statistics and notifications, such as low battery level or when the level falls below a defined threshold.<\/p>\n
