One offers protection from leaks, and the other protects against overpressure in the supply system.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">First of all, the long form to explain the abbreviations:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>OPSO<\/strong> means <strong>O<\/strong>ver-<strong>P<\/strong>ressure <strong>S<\/strong>hut <strong>O<\/strong>ff; it is freely translated as an overpressure closing unit.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>UPSO<\/strong> means <strong>U<\/strong>nder-<strong>P<\/strong>ressure <strong>S<\/strong>hut <strong>O<\/strong>ff; it is the opposite part of the OPSO, i.e. a vacuum closing unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Both are safety devices that are integrated in <a href=\"https:\/\/gok.de\/en\/Gasregler-BHK052-12kg-h-50mbar-POL-RBV-x-G3-4UEM-OPSO-PRV-NOT-0524761?search=bhk052\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">special pressure regulator models from GOK<\/a>. However, while the OPSO, previously known as an SAV (safety shut-off valve), may also be the sole safety device in the pressure regulator, the UPSO does not exist alone. The <strong>specialist can only release the pressure reducer<\/strong> once the cause of the vacuum has been detected and rectified \u2013 another similarity with the OPSO.<\/p>\n<h5>Contracting a specialist<\/h5>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Normally, you do not have to replace the pressure regulator if one of the two safety devices has responded \u2013 unless, of course, the pressure regulator is responsible for the malfunction itself.Therefore: Have the system inspected by a specialist.
