When the evenings become cooler, gas-operated heaters are frequently used on balconies and patios, or in outdoor areas in the hospitality industry. The names of the heaters are different – outdoor heaters, radiant heaters, patio heaters – but one thing they all have in common is that operators require a gas cylinder, pressure reducer, excess flow device for the hose and a gas anti-tilt device. If you read the assembly and operating manual of the pressure regulator type EN 61-DS, you will immediately find out on the first page: The red version is intended for indoor LPG systems, i.e. enclosed spaces. The nominal pressure must be indicated on the type label of the pressure regulator/pressure reducer as well as on the type label of the gas equipment. The system will only work properly if the two numbers and units correspond. Read more

The gas anti-tilt device blocks the gas flow when the outdoor heater, patio heater or radiant heater tips over. Devices that comply with DIN EN 14543 must be fitted with this kind of safety device. Read more
