No matter if you have an LPG system in your mobile home or leisure vehicle, you must have it inspected either way.

Mobile home

Mobile homes in Germany are not considered vehicles and fall within the scope of building regulations. There are two options of sets of rules which are to be applied during installation – and accordingly during testing:

  • Option 1

The LPG system is created in accordance with the Technical Rules for LPG (TRF), then also checked afterwards.

  • Option 2

DIN EN 1949 is the basis of the installation. The test is then carried out in accordance with worksheet G 607 (A) of the German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water (DVGW).

If you use your mobile home for commercial purposes, you must also observe the provisions of regulation 110-010 of the German Statutory Accident Insurance Regulation (DGUV) – formerly DGUV V 79 – no matter if you install it according to TRF or DIN EN 1949.

Leisure vehicle

DVGW worksheet G 607 (A) and DIN EN 1949 applies to LPG systems in caravans and motor caravans. As with mobile homes, you must also comply with the requirements of DGUV 110-010 if you also or exclusively use your leisure vehicle for commercial purposes.
