Can the hose assembly for the stove connection set be longer than 40 centimetres when used privately indoors?

Category: Safety

According to the TRF, hose assemblies must not be longer than 40 centimetres. This also applies when connecting a gas stove to the stove connection set.

The stove connection set consists of a pressure regulator/pressure reducer, piping, an elbow and the hose assembly for connection to the gas stove. The hose assembly supplied is limited to 40 centimetres. It may not be any longer.

The Technical Rules for LPG (TRF) are relevant for private LPG systems. The regulation states that rubber or plastic hose assemblies must not exceed 40 centimetres. In this respect, the initial question must be answered with a clear no. If you replace the existing hose assembly, you must install a new one that is no longer than the maximum permissible 40 centimetres.

Extending piping

If you want to bridge larger distances, you must extend the piping. In the stove connection set (image), we deliver a standard pipe with a length of 40 centimetres. You can extend the pipe to the required dimension via a compression fitting and an additional piece of pipe.
