Brand new caravans or motorhomes are now always fitted with an LPG system with a working pressure of 30 mbar (millibars). This is regulated in a standard which is binding for EU member states – EN 1949. Accordingly, most gas equipment for leisure vehicles, such as boilers, gas grills, stoves or heating systems, are also designed for the nominal pressure of 30 mbar. The nominal pressure must be indicated on the type label of the pressure regulator/pressure reducer as well as on the type label of the gas equipment. The system will only work properly if the two numbers and units correspond. Read more
